Our State has the Worst Outcomes for Maternal Mortality in the US

Doctors of the World is working to educate voters and elected officials across the country about the critical issue of maternal mortality.

If you live in one of these five states, which have the highest levels of maternal mortality and morbidity in the US, use this form to contact your elected officials:

All mothers should get the care and attention they need while pregnant and after giving birth. Nationwide, Black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications and Indigenous women are twice as likely to die than white women.

Bold action can change this - and we need to apply H.E.AT. to our elected officials to address this critical issue in their policy platforms. Contact your elected officials today to let them know you want them to take action to improve maternal health in your state.
