We need legislation that holds companies accountable

Children abroad are at risk. Girls and boys as young as five years old could be producing the over $43 Billion worth of goods Canadians buy and consume each year. Child labour is on the rise for the first time in 20 years. This is unethical, unjust and not the Canadian way.

Right now, it's nearly impossible for Canadians to be fully informed consumers. We don't know what-if anything- the companies and brands we buy from are doing because there is no legal requirement from them to ensure their supply chains are ethical.

Sign the petition if you believe:

"The Government of Canada should commit to supply chain legislation in Canada that requires companies to report and take action on human rights concerns in their supply chains. No child should be exploited in the making of our products."
