Take action! Urge Canada to step up commitments for global education at the Global Refugee Forum.

Amidst the persistent COVID-19 pandemic, climate catastrophes, and devastating conflicts, a staggering 222 million children and youth urgently require educational support in some of the most volatile regions of the world. Challenges like these can feel incredibly overwhelming, but we can take action to ensure that the most marginalised children and youth are not left behind and are able to access quality education. Education, beyond being a fundamental human right, paves the way to a brighter, fairer, and more peaceful future for everyone.

Canada has long been a leader in global education through the historic financial investments made at the G7 Summit in 2018 through the Charlevoix Declaration. The Charlevoix Declaration has had incredible impact, reaching 4 million girls and women across 55 projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. However these life-changing programs were not renewed in Budget 2023, threatening the right to education for millions of young people around the world. Luckily, Canada has an opportunity to renew commitments in global education and maintain leadership at the upcoming Global Refugee Forum in December.

Take action alongside Canadians from coast to coast, urging the government of Canada to renew commitments to global education for students in fragile contexts and emergencies at the Global Refugee Forum this December. Together, we can make our voices heard and drive impactful change. Sign the petition and stand up for education that transforms lives for learners around the world!
