Help Us Bring Chicago Home!
This March, Chicagoans could have the chance to VOTE YES to build more housing and end homelessness for good. The Bring Chicago Home ballot measure would help stabilize rents and give a majority of homeowners a tax cut on property sales while asking big real estate corporations and giant landlords to pay their fair share–creating dedicated revenue for permanent housing and supportive services.
If we want the chance to VOTE YES on housing, we need our aldermen to vote yes to put the measure on the ballot next month.
The real estate lobby is working hard to protect their profits and pressure alders to oppose it, but we know that organized people have the power to defeat organized money. It’s important your alderperson hears from you!
Send them an email and let them know how important it is to begin addressing the housing crisis and Bring Chicago Home. Have an alder who is already supportive or only see the Mayor listed as a recipient? You can edit the letter to let them know you appreciate their support!
