My MP opposes the right to strike

Use this tool if you have a Conservative MP.

Rishi Sunak is trying to force his anti-union “sack key workers bill” through parliament in a matter of weeks.

It means that when workers democratically vote to strike, they could be forced to work and sacked if they don’t. That’s wrong, unworkable, and almost certainly illegal. We need to stop this bill.

Use this tool to ask your MP to meet with you as soon as possible to talk about the bill.

Our right to strike is under attack.

Conservative MPs voted almost unanimously to support Rishi Sunak's anti-union “sack key workers bill”.

But some Conservative MPs are wavering. Right now, meeting your Conservative MP is an immediate action you can take to stop this bill in its track.

Use this form to ask your MP to meet you as soon as possible about protecting your right to strike.

Don't worry if you've never met your MP before: it's easy and it's your MPs job to listen to you. We will support you with tips and a script to have an effective conversation with them.

Many MPs hold contituency surgeries on Fridays or weekends, which is a great time to meet with them. If you're unable to meet them in person, you should be able to speak to them on the phone.

If you get stuck, drop us an email at campaigns@megaphone.org.uk and we can help.
