Act now to #EndEpidemics

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has saved over 44 million lives since its creation in 2002 and we've seen the combined death rate from the three diseases reduced by more than half in the countries in which the Global Fund invests.

It also plays a key role in ensuring access to medicines for those affected by natural disasters and conflicts, including right now in Ukraine.

However, in 2020 for the first time in the Global Fund’s history, key programmatic outcomes declined across all three diseases in countries where the Global Fund invests. HIV testing fell by 22%, the number of people treated for drug-resistant TB dropped by 19%. Malaria deaths and cases also increased that year, with testing falling by 4%.

This makes the 7th Replenishment of the Global Fund critical to getting the global response back on track, requiring an increase of 30% of total funding to do this and to save 20 million lives by 2026.

The choice is stark: either increase funding for the three diseases or we abandon our target of defeating these diseases by 2030.

That's where you come in.

The UK has historically been a leading partner to the Global Fund but without public demand for action there is a risk that our contribution will fall short of what's needed.

Please act now and write to your MP demanding the UK step up to #EndEpidemics by meeting the Global Fund’s target at this year's replenishment.

Once you’ve taken action, please increase your impact by sharing this page for others to join this cause. Thank you.
