Tell San Francisco to Stop the Lawsuit against the EPA!

366
Goal: 2000

San Francisco, betraying its longstanding commitment to environmental protection, is asking the Supreme Court to categorically limit EPA’s ability to prevent the City from dumping untreated sewage into the Pacific Ocean. Joining them in support are the National Mining Association, American Gas Association, and the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers–the leading trade associations of polluting industries. When those are your allies, you know you're on the wrong side of the issue!

The stakes couldn't be higher. This Supreme Court has, over the past four years, repeatedly demonstrated its willingness to undermine the nation’s bedrock environmental laws. It is unconscionable and irresponsible for a city with the reputation of San Francisco to invite the Court to further erode basic protections for clean air and water. San Francisco should not be representing the interests of the nation’s biggest polluters before this Supreme Court–yet the City Attorney is doing just that.

But it's not too late: the city can sort out its lawsuit before the Supreme Court hears arguments on the case this coming Wednesday, October 16. Send a message to SF Mayor London Breed and City Attorney Chiu demanding they stop playing games with the Clean Water Act, putting the entire country at risk.
