Noise Bylaw Email Action Page
Hello, thanks for visiting!
The City of Toronto is in the final stages of reviewing the Noise Bylaws. Now is the window where you can tell your Councillor and the Mayor how noise impacts you – and they are listening. Things won’t change unless we speak up and tell the City that we need change. Over 500 emails were sent through this platform from January 8 to 10th to the ECD Committee! You can send another one, or send your first one today!
You can send an email right now from one or more of the tabs to the right.
Across the top of the page to the right are tabs with different noise sources. Click on a tab to open, review and edit the letter. In order the letters are:
-
-
- Amplified Sound
- Waste Collection Noise
- Construction Noise
- Motor Vehicle Noise
- Power Devices and Leaf Blowers
- Stationary Sources (not including Residential Air Conditioners)
- Unreasonable and Persistent Noise
- Residential Air Conditioners
- Sirens and Air Horns
-
Once you have completed a letter and sent it, you can return to the top of the screen and follow the process again to send another letter.
Some notes about the emails:
- The “To” box is prefilled with the Mayor of Toronto, Olivia Chow
- Once you add your postal code, your local councillor’s name will be added in “To” field
- In “Cc” is info@nomorenoisetoronto.com
Please review the rest of the letter. It has an opening, recommendations, and a closing paragraph. If you want to add how noise impacts you, just before the “I want the …” would be a good spot.
Thank you,
