Tell Congress: Support this letter to Biden administration demanding action for Palestinian rights

For the first time since Israel's new far-right extremist government came into power, progressives in Congress are joining together to draw a line in the sand. Right now, Congressman Jamaal Bowman and Senator Bernie Sanders are leading a letter speaking out against Israel's decades-long oppression of Palestinians and calling on the Biden administration to ensure U.S. funds don't support it.

This letter will only be collecting signatures for a short period of time. So write to your member of Congress now, and then tell your family and friends to do the same.

I am reaching out as a constituent and as an MPower Action supporter to urge you to add your name to the letter led by Congressman Jamaal Bowman and Senator Bernie Sanders to President Biden and Secretary of State Blinken, urging them to take action around the rapidly deteriorating situation in the occupied West Bank and the dangerous policies of the new far-right Israeli government.

The letter is an incredibly important step toward protecting human rights, determining if U.S. materials and funding have been used for human rights violations against Palestinians, and ensuring that no future U.S. military funding can be used in this way. The U.S. sends $3.8 billion in military funding to the Israeli government every year. Congress must enforce existing U.S. law to ensure that U.S. military funding does not support gross violations of human rights.

Israeli forces and settlers have killed over 80 Palestinians since the beginning of 2023, including 17 children. The previous year was already the deadliest for Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since 2004.
