Onward to the Senate: Demand #NoWarOnIran

Last week, we pushed the House of Representatives to vote yes on checking Trump’s ability to wage war on Iran without Congressional approval. And we won.

This week, it’s up to us to make this a major permanent win, and get the US Senate to vote and pass restrictions on Trump’s warmongering into law.

For the Senate to pass its own vote restraining Trump’s march to war, we’ll need at least four Republican votes—and as it happens, two well-known, usually Trump-loyalist Republican Senators—Sen. Mike Lee and Sen. Rand Paul—just signaled they intend to vote to stop the march to war. We’re already more than halfway there. (Sen. Mike is even co-sponsoring a #NoWarWithIran bill with Sens. Bernie Sanders and Chuck Schumer, the Democratic Senate Leader.)

We can win this one. We can stop a catastrophic war with Iran. And if we can stop it, we’re morally obligated to do so.
