We’re witnessing an active genocide in Gaza.

Israel, which has one of the most powerful militaries in the world,¹ has reportedly killed more than 10,700 Palestinians in Gaza and is continuing airstrikes and a ground invasion forcing over one million Gazans in the north to move south under threat of death.²

Under blockade and siege for 16 years, the 2.2 million people of Gaza are captives – enduring without access to water, food, electricity, and fuel.

It is horrific that civilians, Palestinian and Israeli, have borne the brunt of the tragedy we are witnessing. If we do not act now, the events of the Israeli military in Gaza will compound that horror to unimaginable proportions.

We need urgent action now to avoid more loss of precious human life. We need a ceasefire.

TELL CONGRESS RIGHT NOW:
We need an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to stop the loss of life and allow humanitarian aid, medical attention, food, and water.

It is horrific that Palestinian and Israeli civilians are bearing the brunt of the tragedy we are witnessing.

That is why, as your constituent, I am urging you to call for the immediate ceasefire in Gaza that we know is required for desperately needed humanitarian and medical aid.

As you know, Gaza has been an open-air prison well before now, with its people living under blockade and siege for nearly two decades. Now, as its hospitals and morgues are overwhelmed with the dead and injured, the most basic necessities of electricity, water, and food have been cut altogether by the Israeli government, at unimaginable human cost.

We must immediately de-escalate to prevent the further loss of life. We must open a humanitarian corridor for aid and medical workers to save lives. As of this writing, more than 300,000 people have been rendered homeless in Gaza nearly overnight, with at least 1,120 people killed and many thousands more maimed and wounded.

If we treasure human life, we have an urgent moral obligation to act now to save the lives of people rendered homeless by bombing campaigns, now denied food, water, electricity to power hospitals, and even the most basic humanitarian aid. A humanitarian corridor is critical for the people of Gaza to survive.

We must act now. Again, as your constituent, I urge you to call for the ceasefire required to provide humanitarian aid in Gaza and stop the loss of further life.
