Ceasefire NOW Stop Genocide

On May 26, Israel killed at least 45 Palestinians, reportedly mostly women and children, and injured over 250 people in a tent camp in a designated “safe zone” for refugees in Rafah.

Just 48 hours before this atrocity, the highest United Nations Court — the International Court of Justice (ICJ) — ordered Israel to stop its military offensive in Rafah immediately.¹

Instead of abiding by international law and the ICJ, Israel bombed a “humanitarian safe zone” in Rafah’s Tal al-Sultan neighborhood.

TELL YOUR MEMBER OF CONGRESS: Condemn Israel’s Rafah assault and invasion, urge Biden to facilitate an immediate and lasting ceasefire, and end U.S. military assistance to Israel.

Since October, over 40,000 people, including more than 14,000 children, have been brutally killed by Israel.² We need an immediate and permanent ceasefire and an end to the restrictions on vital aid to people in Gaza.

Our eyes are fixed on Gaza as the Israeli military has now launched an offensive on Rafah, where nearly 1.5 million Palestinians were sheltering. More than 900,000 people have fled Rafah since May 6.

The people of Gaza urgently need a permanent ceasefire.

As your constituent, I am outraged by the war crimes and atrocities we are witnessing in Gaza — and particularly horrified by Israel’s May 26th bombing of Rafah’s Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, a mere 48 hours after the highest United Nations Court, the International Court of Justice, ordered Israel to stop its military operation in Rafah immediately.

A U.S. federal court, numerous human rights organizations, and the ICJ have termed Israel’s war on Gaza a “plausible genocide.” I urge you to condemn Israel’s Rafah assault and invasion, urge President Biden to facilitate an immediate and lasting ceasefire, and end military assistance to Israel.

We need an immediate and permanent ceasefire now.

Urgent action is needed now to stop the invasion of Rafah where nearly 1.5 million Palestinians were sheltering. What is happening to Palestinians in Gaza is a man-made humanitarian catastrophe. Israel has horrifically killed over 40,000 Palestinians, including more than 14,000 children.
