Let’s get #BreakfastInTheBudget

Child hunger is unacceptable. We urgently need you to email your MP before the 2021 Budget is announced on 3rd March, to ensure no child is too hungry to learn.

2.3 million children in the UK experienced food insecurity between March and August 2020. These children sit through lessons with empty stomachs missing out on hours of valuable learning time.

School breakfast provision is an effective solution, tackling hunger and improving children’s behaviour and educational attainment.

• Government funding for school breakfasts is due to end in July.
• Without additional funding, these children will fall behind their classmates, limiting their future education and employment opportunities. 
• The upcoming 2021 Budget on 3rd March is the best chance for the Government to commit funding to ensure all children in England at risk of hunger can access a nutritious breakfast in school.

Please email your MP to demand the Children’s Minister and the Chancellor include #BreakfastInTheBudget and fully fund school breakfasts for all children at risk of hunger.
