Keep Kids Fed — Tell Lawmakers to Oppose Summer EBT Ban

Summer EBT is a new federal program that would provide $40 a month in grocery benefits during the summer to Kansas kids eligible for free and reduced-price meals.  

Even though all benefits are 100% federally funded, some lawmakers want to prohibit Kansas from participating in the program! The Kansas House Welfare Reform Committee will likely soon hold a hearing on HB 2674, which would take away this support that would help keep children fed in the summer.
