Maternal Mortality Deserves the Attention of our Elected Officials

Doctors of the World is working to educate voters and elected officials across the country about the critical issue of maternal mortality.

All mothers should get the care and attention they need while pregnant and after giving birth. Black mothers in the US - and in our state - are dying at alarming levels - often 3-4 times higher than white women. This is unacceptable in the wealthiest country in the world.

Bold action can change this - and we need to apply H.E.A.T to our elected officials to address this critical issue in their policy platforms. Contact your elected officials today to let them know you want them to take action to improve maternal health in your state.
