The violent attack on the U.S. Capitol by pro-Trump white supremacists was an attempt to violently overturn the results of the election. And the president of the Chicago FOP, John Catanzara, has publicly defended the right-wing militants who killed 5 people — including two Capitol Police officers.
The Police Board is still considering whether or not to fire Catanzara over these dangerous, violent comments and past racist remarks. The Police Board has the power to fire Catanzara at any point — and the Board is hosting a public meeting on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
The Police Board allows the public to speak and participate in these public meetings. That's why we need your help to demand Catanzara's removal. Fill out this form to submit a public comment to the Police Board calling on Catanzara to be fired immediately.
