Call to Action: Governments must urgently act to protect people experiencing homelessness from Omicron

The Omicron variant is spreading like wildfire through homeless systems across Canada putting people experiencing homelessness and the people that care for them at risk, threatening to overwhelm Canada’s homeless response systems.

The solutions to this fall across Federal, Provincial, Territorial and Municipal governments and requires urgent and simultaneous action at all levels. The Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness along with national health care leaders have penned an urgent call to action with concrete measures to effectively address the new pressures on an already overwhelmed system.
