Tell the federal government to prioritize housing and ending homelessness in their upcoming budget

People experiencing homelessness are uniquely vulnerable to COVID-19. They are twice as likely to catch COVID-19, 20 times more likely to need hospitalization, 10 times more likely to need intensive care and over five times more likely to die.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Our plan shows how Canada can end homelessness by 2030, save taxpayers over $18 billion, create nearly 500,000 much needed jobs, and construct over 300,000 new permanently affordable and supportive housing units.

This plan will save money, save lives, and ensure that everyone in Canada has a roof over their head by 2030.

We know how to end homelessness once and for all, all it takes is the political will. As the government prepares their 2021 budget, we need to make sure housing and ending homelessness are prioritized.
